No. 1-rated St. John Bosco (Ca.) quarterback DJ Uiagalelei announced his top schools - and as expected - Clemson is in that group.
Uiagalelei visited Clemson for its rivalry game with South Carolina and gave a rave review.
“Getting to stand on the sidelines during pregame was crazy,” Uiagaleli told TigerNet. “I’ve been wanting to get to Clemson for a game, and it was everything I wanted. You could see the love the Clemson fans have for the team, and getting to be a part of that is something I will remember.”
Oregon, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia and LSU join Clemson in Uiagalelei's top group and he also gave a nod to local school Mt. San Antonio College. Uiagalelei made unofficial visits to Oregon and Auburn this fall.
"Would like to say thank you to all the colleges and coaches for recruiting me during the past couple years of my football and baseball career,' he said. "It has truly been a blessing and amazing experience to go through, but at this point, I have decided to focus on these seven schools."
As a junior, he posted 48 passing touchdowns to seven interceptions, completing 69.6 percent of his throws for 3,366 yards. The 6-foot-5 prospect also averaged 6.2 yards per carry and rushed for six scores.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”— ?? DJ Uiagalelei ?? (@DJUiagalelei) January 1, 2019
