One position that does not get a lot of "love" when it comes to recruiting is kicker. In the case of Richard Jackson, it is quite a different story. Jackson has offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, Maryland, and Southern Cal is close to offering. Clemson has been evaluating Jackson, and has not yet extended an offer.

We learned that Jackson will meet with Head Coach Tommy Bowden at 3:30 on Thursday. Jackson is not guaranteed to receive an offer, but we would shocked if he did not walk out of Bowden's office with an offer. The Tigers will sign a kicker in this class, and all signs point to Jackson as the #1 target.

Both of Jackson's parents went to Clemson, and it appears that the Tigers would be in very good shape should they offer. Jackson is a lock to be in our top 15 for South Carolina when we debut our rankings later this fall.
