Xavier Thomas was named the 2018 Anthony Munoz Lineman of the Year Friday night.
Thomas was given the honor while in San Antonio for the U.S. Army All-American Game (1 p.m. Saturday/NBC). The top-rated defender in the 2018 class and Florence native played out his final season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He compiled 34 tackles (25 solo), 12 QB hurries, eight tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in eight games this season. Other finalists included fellow Clemson signee Jackson Carman, as well as Cade Mays (Knoxville Catholic), Penei Sewell (Desert Hills) and Taron Vincent (IMG Academy).
