Monte Lee's Tigers moved up a spot in the Baseball America top 25 after going 4-1 last week.

Clemson swept a midweek series at College of Charleston and fell a game short of the sweep at Boston College over the weekend, moving up to No. 24 in the Baseball America ranking. D1Baseball left them unranked.

The Tigers continued to lower its team ERA, moving up to No. 4 in the ACC (3.27). Sophomore left-hander Mat Clark is tied atop the conference with five wins in seven appearances, holding a 2.28 ERA. Freshman right-hander Davis Sharpe lowered his ERA to 1.60 on the season with seven shutout frames in a win over Boston College.

In the early ACC picture, Clemson (18-6, 6-3) is tied with Louisville for not only the second-best record in the ACC Atlantic but also the second-best conference record overall behind NC State (8-1). The best start for an ACC Coastal team is Virginia and Georgia Tech's 5-4 mark.

The Tigers return to action on Tuesday in Charlotte's BB&T Ballpark versus Charlotte (7 p.m.) and then travel to Virginia Tech for a weekend series.
