Etienne wins Leather Helmet award

True freshman running back Travis Etienne had 9 rushes for 113 yards and two rushing touchdowns against Boston College on Saturday afternoon.

After the game, Etienne was named the winner of the leather helmet award for the game's MVP. He is the first Clemson freshman to win the award.

Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott told reporters the following about Etienne.

"He’s special. He keeps earning it every week," Scott said.

Etienne has three 50-yard runs in only 23 carries this season. For the season, he 292 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
