Three Clemson coaches made lists for ones to watch in the coaching profession.
The Athletic put together a list of 40 assistant coaches to watch for head coaching roles in the future ($), led by Clemson co-offensive coordinators Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott. Elliott was the 2017 Broyles Award winner for the nation's top assistant, while Scott was a 2018 finalist for the award. The 2018 winner, former Alabama offensive coordinator Michael Locksley, was hired as the head coach for Maryland last December. The Clemson offense ranked third nationally in total offense last season (527.2 yards per game) and third in the Power 5 in scoring (44.3 PPG). 247Sports put together a list of rising stars under the age of 30 on Monday and another member of the offensive coaching staff made the cut, in graduate assistant and former Clemson offensive lineman Maverick Morris: "A national championship-winning player with the Tigers, Morris is now an offensive line graduate for Clemson. He came highly recommended to 247Sports, and those around Clemson’s building think he has an extremely bright future in coaching. 'He’s going to be a great one,' said one Clemson coordinator."
