Recruiting: Davis Will Be A Tiger |
Anthony Davis Defensive End 6-6, 235, 4.7 Columbia, SC (Spring Valley HS) According to Mickey Plyler, Spring Valley DE Anthony Davis has switched his commitment from Wake Forest to Clemson. Plyler talked to Spring Valley head coach Jimmy Noonan and assistant coach Mick Armstrong this morning and both said Davis felt Clemson was a better fit for him. Davis called Clemson head football coach Tommy Bowden and his recruiter Brad Scott today and told them of the switch in commitment. The commitment ends days of wavering back and forth between Clemson and Wake Forest for Davis since he visited the Clemson campus on an official visit this past weekend. Davis has canceled scheduled visits to Kentucky on the 24th and Auburn on the 31st. He had visited Wake Forest and Vanderbilt previously. This season, Davis had 50 tackles and 5 sacks. He is the nineteenth commitment for the 2004 Clemson recruiting class. Clemson Commitments 1. DB Brandon Croley (6-0, 180, 4.5) Jacksonville, FL 2.
