Clemson’s afternoon tilt with undefeated N.C. State is expected to be one of the biggest games of the weekend and with a big game on tap, the Clemson coaching staff is expecting a 5-star kind of weekend.

This will by far be the biggest recruiting weekend this season, with at least three 5-stars expected to make an appearance.

The nation’s No. 1 player in the 2020 class, Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco quarterback DJ Uiagalelei will take the redeye flight Friday night with his high school coach and his father for his first visit since head coach Dabo Swinney’s high school camp in June.

With Clemson and Oregon as the presumed favorites, Uiagalelei told TigerNet earlier this week that he wants to show his dad everything Clemson has to offer.

“Me, one of my coaches and my dad are coming,” he said. I just want to be out there to see the game and see how the atmosphere is. I want to see what it’s like out there. I want my dad to come to see what Clemson is like - the school, the atmosphere, the coaching staff, the environment, the whole thing. We will be there Saturday and Sunday. I have a game Friday so we’ll fly out after the game.”

A pair of 2019 five stars will also be in attendance.

Charlotte (NC) Harding University 5-star athlete Quavaris Crouch also intends to take an unofficial visit this weekend and it’s the Tigers’ stability that has caught Crouch’s attention.

"Clemson has been a successful team, they always are going to be successful," Crouch said. "I feel like they bring in good recruiting classes. I feel like that's the most stable program that I am getting recruited by, honestly, other than Alabama. They're stable. They are on top of things. They're kind of solid. It's not a lot of fixing to do. It's a good program already, you just come in and do your part."

5-star Oxford (AL) offensive lineman Clay Webb will take in the game with his mother. This will be Webb’s first trip back to campus since the All In Cookout in July. Clemson, Alabama, Auburn and Georgia have all been linked to Webb, who doesn’t conduct many interviews.

Two wide receivers who have been at all three Clemson home games will see their fourth game inside Death Valley. Alpharetta (GA) Denmark wide receiver Ze’Vian Capers and Irmo (SC) Dutch Fork receiver Jalin Hyatt will both be in attendance.

Capers has made it known that Clemson leads for his service and one would think that should Clemson offer Hyatt – which may happen in the near future – the Tigers would also claim the top spot for him.
