New year same story can’t hit good pitching & fielding errors cost them big time. All 3 Mississippi runs were unearned. I know it’s only first game. Let’s hope it’s just first game jitters & not the norm. Those were the two biggest problem areas on last year’s team.

New year same story can’t hit good pitching & fielding errors cost them big time. All 3 Mississippi runs were unearned. I know it’s only first game. Let’s hope it’s just first game jitters & not the norm. Those were the two biggest problem areas on last year’s team.

If the 3rd out should've been recorded(on a n error) than any run(s) after said error, will be unearned.

That's what happened. Alex at 3rd made an error with 2 outs, next batter hbp and then the jack. Rittman should have pulled her after the error, but definitely after the hbp. Had gone through the rotation enough. That's how they beat us, pulled their pitcher that threw almost straight risers and our hitters couldn't lay off. Good coaches make the correct calls. Rittman isn't a good coach.
