I am trying to make a list of all of the asterisks we have to put beside our National Championship trophy. Please let me know which ones I am missing. TIA in advance.
* Lost to Pitt
* Should have lost to NC State
* Auburn was tired from playing an SEC schedule last season
* Bo Scarbrough got hurt
* Clemson ran 2 picks and their WR pushed off on every completion
* Clemson cheats and pays all of their players

I think we should just come up with a list of the top 100 excuses they use, and then rather than quote the whole thing, just say, #3, or #22, etc. It would save time, and hit a nerve with them at the same time.

I second the concept of providing them a list of excuses! They are not smart enough to put one together without having to think about it! That is unfortunately something they are not keen on doing.

Coming up with excuses is something they about which they are excellent, but taking responsibility for their sorry state of affairs is where they find the difficulty.

#'s 63, 56, 13 and 7 need to be the ones they use the most, and in tandem, as in:
"We would've beaten the Tigers if not for 56 to 7 or 63 - 17"
Certainly excuse #4 will ALWAYS hold a special place in the hearts of Clemson family fourever!
