Clemson used the first day of the 2019 early signing period to build toward 2020, offering 5-star-rated cornerback Fred Davis, out of Jacksonville.

"BLESSED AND HONORED TO HAVE RECEIVED AN OFFER FROM CLEMSON UNIVERSITY!" Davis exclaimed on Twitter.

Davis picked up an offer from Florida State on Tuesday, Michigan also Wednesday and Texas earlier this month. He is down for visits to Florida and Miami this past season.

Davis is rated as high as the No. 3 cornerback in the nation (Rivals). He tallied 48 stops with an interception last season.
