A big offensive output over a 4-0 week moved the Tigers up in the new college baseball polls this week.

Monte Lee's Tigers (22-6) hit double-digits in runs twice in a series sweep at Virginia Tech and also won on the road at Charlotte to jump up to No. 21 in the Baseball America poll and back into the D1Baseball Top 25, at No. 23.

The ACC's Atlantic side continues to stand out with Clemson (9-3) among the three best records in the league along with division-leader NC State (10-2) and Louisville (9-3), which is ranked as high as No. 10 nationally and comes to Doug Kingsmore Stadium this weekend for a three-game series.

The Tigers return to action on Tuesday in a marquee matchup with Georgia, which is ranked as high as No. 4 nationally (D1Baseball).

Clemson center fielder Bryce Teodosio moved into the top-5 of the ACC in home runs (8) with two over the weekend. Georgia Tech's Kyle McCann leads the category with 12.

Senior first baseman Grayson Byrd had a big series in Blacksburg with six hits - including a double, triple and home run - six walks, eight runs scored and three RBIs.

Freshman right-hander Davis Sharpe continued to impress with one run allowed over six innings, moving his ERA down to 1.59 and improving his record to 4-1. Junior righty reliever Carson Spiers picked up his ACC-leading eighth save on Friday and holds a 1.02 ERA over 12 appearances. Sophomore left-hander Mat Clark earned his sixth win in seven appearances this season on Saturday, a total which also leads the conference.
