WATCH: Clemson commit shines at 'Opening' event

by -

Clemson defensive tackle commit Tre Williams shined at a recent 'Opening' regional combine in New Jersey.

He was named an 'Alpha Dog' by 247Sports out of the event, where he earned an invite to finals in Dallas this summer.

"The 6-foot-3, 306-pound Williams started the day by showing his fast feet and ability to sink his hips in drills and then his full talent was on display during the 1-on-1 session," 247'S Brian Dohn wrote. "There were times Williams fired off the ball so quickly he was in the backfield before the offensive lineman could get a hand on him. He rotated well, had quick hands, was quick to disengage, used a variety of moves and competed at a high level. He was unblockable much of the day, and his athleticism stood out. He won with power, speed, agility and technique. His ability to bend and explode was impressive."

Williams is rated as high as the No. 4 defensive tackle in the nation and a top-50 prospect overall (46; 247Sports).
