Five-star Powder Springs, Georgia defensive end Myles Murphy announced a commitment to Clemson on Friday at his high school's spring game.
He is rated as high as the No. 2 player in the nation (ESPN) and picked Clemson over Auburn. Murphy's pledge is a fifth 5-star commitment in the last two months, strengthening Clemson's grip on the No. 1 class for 2020. Clemson's 247Sports Composite rating for the 2020 class is now more than any class since the recruiting site has been tracking (285.84; 2018's 283.67 rating the previous high).
