Brings to Clemson: After All-American campaigns as a freshman and a sophomore, Jones skipped ahead to his senior year and is enrolling early to boot - getting a head start in potentially a key role for 2019. Jones fits the bill of the corners Clemson has recruited recently in the mold of current starters in a Trayvon Mullen or A.J. Terrell, with the size to hang tough with bigger receivers and the speed to track down passes and ballcarriers and make plays.

Depth chart fit: Jones has already been put on notice to be ready to contribute early - especially if Trayvon Mullen turns his attention to the NFL after the end of Clemson’s season. One contributor will definitely be gone from the mix in Mark Fields, leaving plenty of opportunity for Jones and 5-star prospect Andrew Booth to compete for major playing time.
