Clemson continued its 2019 recruiting momentum with a mega addition to the secondary Monday.
Five-star Lawrenceville, Georgia cornerback Andrew Booth committed to Clemson after he and a number of family members attended the All In Cookout last weekend. "The hardest part of this journey is having to say no to coaches that have taken time to build relationships with me and my family. However, I know exactly where I belong and want to be!!!" Booth posted on Twitter. "I have finally chose to follow my heart & step through the door God has opened to me. After much prayer, I have chosen to continue my academic and athletic career at Clemson University!!! #ALLIN #WETOODEEP19" Booth is regarded as a 5-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite ranking, which has him as a top-35 player overall (32) and the No. 3-rated cornerback. Offers came nationwide for the 7A All-State DB but the competition centered around the Southeast, with Auburn finishing runner-up and Georgia there in the mix as well. Some reports had Booth expected to attend an event at Auburn over the weekend but Booth’s lone trip ended up being to Clemson. A fourth 2019 commitment in four days for Clemson, Booth's pledge moves the Tigers up to fourth overall in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings with 22 total commits in the class.
