The inside linebacker has seen his stock rise after his junior campaign, where he totaled 103 tackles (16 for loss) with two interceptions. Just this year, he has also received offers from Georgia, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, UCLA and California to go with the same from Alabama, LSU, Oregon and Texas A&M among more programs.
"He was amazing given his frame, given his size," 247Sports analyst Blair Angulo said. "I think he weighed at 266. He had a tremendous shuttle. He jumped nearly three feet in the vertical. He just did so many good things in drills that caught your attention given his size in frame. He’s a guy I feel we might have a bit underrated even though he is already a member of the Top 247.”
Angulo said later in the piece that Sewell may project to the defensive line at the next level.
Sewell has a brother at Oregon in sophomore left tackle Penei Sewell.
