ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. was on Tuesday's edition of ESPN's 'Get Up' show and answered a hypothetical question stating that he would take Joe Burrow (LSU QB) over
Trevor Lawrence in the 2020 NFL Draft (if Lawrence was available).
"Next year Trevor Lawerence will be in line for the No. 1 pick overall," Kiper said to host Mike Greenberg. "If you say, they are both available this year. You go with the guy that has been under the microscope and has played the much tougher schedule. I would go with Joe Burrow." Kiper thinks that Lawrence and Burrow might be playing against each other soon. "But we'll see. Ohio State with Clemson, and then we'll probably have LSU. It will be the first time we see Trevor Lawrence go against big-time teams. We've seen Joe Burrow do it and been phenomenal. We haven't seen Trevor Lawrence do it this year. We saw it last year. We haven't seen it this year. That is why I would go with Joe Burrow."
