WATCH: Clemson DB ejected for throwing a punch |
Clemson freshman defensive back Andrew Booth was ejected for throwing a punch at the end of a scuffle during a special team's play in the third quarter against Louisville.
Booth lost his cool after Louisville's Trenell Troutman and he were pushing each other all the way down the field. He was called for holding and a 15-yard penalty for a personal foul on the play. Head coach Dabo Swinney told him to head to the locker room before the refs could officially eject him from the ballgame. As a random thought, why does anyone ever try to punch anyone wearing a football helmet? I would think that it is just an opportunity to break your hand. A fight breaks out in the Clemson-Louisville game & Andrew Booth Jr (No. 23) is ejected for throwing a punch #CLEMvsLOU pic.twitter.com/QWb69kahvj That Clemson Dude really just punched the UL player in the helmet?
23 for Clemson is gonna be in Dabo’s doghouse. The ACC’s too.
Andrew Booth of Clemson just sent to the locker room for punching a Louisville player. Dabo didn't even wait for the refs to eject him; just sent him packing.
Embarrassing stuff from Andrew Booth. That’s not Clemson Football. Inexcusable.
There are a lot of people on the sidelines feeling the wrath of Dabo.
Knowing Dabo and the way he handles his players, I fully expect a Booth suspension to come down.
That was fairly dumb
