USA TODAY ranks Isaiah Simmons as No. 1 LB in nation

Another player ranking list is out and has Clemson on top.

USA TODAY released their top linebacker rankings for 2019 on Tuesday and has talented Clemson junior Isaiah Simmons as the top linebacker in the entire country.

"Simmons can do it all: rush the passer, run in coverage, stop the run and make splash plays — not to mention shine on special teams, an added bonus from a player destined for every preseason All-America team," USA Today's Paul Myerberg said. "He arrived on campus as a safety and has transitioned into a hybrid role that takes full advantage of one of college football's most impressive talents."

Simmons had 89 tackles including 9.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, an interception, and six passed deflected last season.

The top 10 linebackers in order were Simmons, Dylan Moses, Paddy Fisher, Joe Bachie, Anfernee Jennings, Troy Dye, Evan Weaver, and Micah Parsons.
