Trevor Lawrence says offense is a 'work in progress'

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson standout quarterback Trevor Lawrence was named ACC Co-Quarterback Player of the Week on Monday for his performance after his team's 41-6 win over Syracuse.

Lawerence was 22-for-39 for a career-high 395 yards with three passing touchdowns and two interceptions against the Orange. He also had four rushing attempts for 42 yards and a rushing score.

However, the sophomore signal-caller said on Monday that there is another level for the Clemson offense despite tallying over 600 yards in the blowout road win.

"Work in progress," he said about the Clemson offense. "That's what it's always gonna be. That's what Coach Swinney says. That's what we say. We want to get better every week and I think we have done that. That's just the main goal, just keep getting better and definitely not where we want to be, but we are better than where we were when we started. It's a work in progress."
