Swinney updates status of Boulware

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson senior linebacker Ben Boulware was injured in the third quarter against Troy as he was blocked hard by an offensive lineman and was down for a few minutes before walking off the field slowly with the trainers.

Dabo Swinney spoke with reporters during his weekly teleconference on Sunday night and updated the status of Boulware's right ankle injury.

"He feels a lot better," Swinney said. "We're going to hold him out of this ball game [S.C. State]. He thinks he can play but we're going to hold him because of the quick turnaround."

Swinney thinks that he will be able to play against Georgia Tech.

Boulware has ten tackles and an interception through two games this season.
