Clemson Football staff gets bonuses worth $2.8 million

The 'fun is in the winning' as the popular saying goes but it also pays well as the Clemson Football coaching staff received $2.8 million in bonuses from the National Championship and ACC title wins according to an AP report on Thursday.

According to the AP, Swinney received $1.45 million in bonuses while each of Clemson's nine on-field assistant coaches received $95,000 in bonuses for the season. Joey Batson and Woody McCorvey also received $95,000 each.

In total, 16 football staff members received bonuses in excess of $70,000.

The Clemson Football team will begin their defense of their National Championship crown on Saturday, Sept 2. against Kent State in Death Valley.
