What Trevor Lawrence said about his performance against Syracuse

by -

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence talks to the media after Clemson's 41-6 win over Syracuse on Saturday night.

How was the game for you tonight?

“It felt good, I feel like I made some good plays and decisions for the most part. I had that one interception, kind of a dumb play trying to do too much, but other than those two plays right there I felt that I played well, managed the game well, and took what they gave me. You go to a team like this on the road and they aren’t going to lay down. I thought they had a good plan for us, but we just kept grinding and kept going.” It’s been two close games the last couple years, do you feel you guys made a statement that you are head and shoulders above everybody else, especially because people think of Syracuse as being your nemesis? “It wasn’t really about that for us, but we just wanted to come out here, be ready, play well, and leave no doubt. That’s been the thing the last two weeks because these two games last year were really close and came down to the wire.”
