Vegas odds for Clemson winning CFB title, Heisman favorites

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson kept their College Football playoff invitation on track with their comeback victory over an upset-minded Syracuse squad on Saturday.

The latest Vegas odds to win the College Football championship were released and Clemson had the third-best odds of any NCAA team (5/1) behind only defending title-holder Alabama (1/2) and Ohio State (9/2). Before the season, Clemson had 4/1 odds to win it all.

The Heisman Trophy odds showed some fluctuations as former Clemson signal-caller Kelly Bryant no longer had betting odds to win the prestigious award after he left the team. He was previously at 20/1 in June.

Clemson freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence has 100/1 odds, running back standout Travis Etienne has 100/1 odds, and talented defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence was listed as a longshot at 300/1.

Overall, the top Heisman candidates odds-wise currently are all signal-callers with Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, Will Grier, and Dwayne Haskins.

Vegas team odds for CFB championship:

Alabama 1/2

Ohio State 9/2

Clemson 5/1

Georgia 6/1

Notre Dame 12/1

Oklahoma 20/1

Michigan and Washington 25/1

Auburn, LSU, Penn State, West Virginia 50/1

Wisconsin 60/1

Texas, UCF 80/1

Colorado, Miami, Michigan State, Stanford 100/1
