Swinney updates Kelly Bryant's injury
Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant went into the locker room early with the training staff with a minute to go in the first half against Georgia Southern in the team's 38-7 win.
During Dabo Swinney's interview with ESPN, he said that he didn't know the injury status of Bryant but he told Swinney that he was breathing heavy. In the second quarter during a designed run, he had an awkward collision where he landed on the football and his helmet hit the ground hard. He was out for the rest of the game as Trevor Lawrence and Chase Brice finished up the contest.
Swinney said during his postgame press conference that Bryant is doing "good." His heart was racing and they checked it out with an EKG machine and he should be fine.
Clemson co-offensive coordinators Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott during postgame interviews classified his injury as a chest bruise.
