Swinney on Wilkins playing safety: "It was a fun moment"

by - Assoc. Editor -

Christian Wilkins played 3 snaps at safety during Clemson's spring game and made them count. Dabo Swinney relives the moment from his viewpoint that saw Wilkins rush the QB and make a tackle-for-loss in an unexpected display of mobility and speed for the usual 300-pound defensive line star.

"I looked back and said WHAT? By the time I walked back out to the field, he's lined up and he had one more play here," Swinney said in the video. "He runs the alley and makes the tackle for the loss in the backfield. That was a fun moment and that's it. Head on out of the game here."
