Swinney addresses injury setback for freshman LB

Freshman linebacker Bryton Constantin suffered a setback in his comeback from a knee injury recently.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said on his call-in show Monday that Constantin re-tore his ACL "the other day," which he originally suffered an injury to in high school playing basketball in February.

Constantin was a four-star-rated linebacker out of University Lab (La.), ranked as a top-100 player overall by Rivals (94).

Swinney added that freshman walk-on linebacker Matthew Maloney also tore an ACL recently. Swinney did not offer a timeline for either player's comeback.
