Kent State looking for linemen and wide receivers this week |
No. 5 Clemson will take on Kent State this Saturday at Memorial Stadium in front of a nationally televised audience at noon on ESPN.
Most teams have finalized their rosters, depth chart and just going over last minute walk-throughs and strategies for their opening games on Saturday. However, not for the Golden Flashes of Kent State as they are looking for walk-on offensive linemen and wide receivers this week. "Become a walk-on offensive lineman or wide receiver," Kent State Twitter account posted. "Full-time students email Coach @Zeit_Robrzeitman@kent.edu by Sunday with banner ID." Kent State will already be missing their head coach Paul Haynes due to a medical leave of absence and now it appears that they have little depth in those two above positions mentioned. It is pretty incredible to believe that it's possible that a player might be boarding the plane to dress for the Clemson game that has only been a walk-on player for a day or two. More than likely, these players are for depth for the rest of their schedule after Clemson. The current Vegas odds on the game has the Tigers as a 40-point favorite.
