2. Clemson — 50 percent (56 of 112 from South Carolina). The only team in the AP Top 10 without a Texan on its roster, Clemson capitalizes on a recruiting bed similar to Louisiana. South Carolina is 24th in population, but ranked 13th in Division I FBS signees in 2011. Clemson also gets a healthy dose of Florida and Georgia natives to fill out its roster.
