Georgia Tech snaps 10-game losing streak to Clemson |
Clemson’s slim NCAA Tournament hopes froze over on a cold shooting night in Atlanta.
Georgia Tech (12-10, 3-11 ACC) used a 14-0 second half run and five-minute scoring drought by the Tigers in defeating Clemson 63-52 at McCamish Pavilion Monday night. The win by one of the ACC’s worst teams broke a 10-game winning streak the Tigers had over the Jackets. Clemson had tied the game at 32-32 midway through the second half, but had just one field goal in over ten minutes of game action as Tech opened up a 54-37 lead. Clemson never led in the game. made it 15-14 Tech with just a little over seven minutes to play in the half, but Tech went on a quick 6-0 run that made it 21-14 with five minutes left before intermission.
