Clemson junior right-hander Ryley Gilliam made a midseason watch list for the Stopper of the Year Award, which is given to the nation's top relief pitcher.
Gilliam is sporting a 0.90 ERA with seven saves and a 2-1 record through 16 appearances this season. He has posted 32 strikeouts to 12 walks and held opponents to a .147 batting average.
Last time out, Gilliam threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a 9-4 win over Wake Forest to clinch a sweep.
Gilliam is one of 29 relievers that didn't make the list preseason. The finalists will be announced on June 7 and the winner will be crowned on June 17.
The honor is voted on by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
