Clemson junior linebacker Tre Lamar declared for the NFL draft on Wednesday, via social media.
"After much consideration, I have elected to forgo my senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft," Lamar posted. "I am so thankful for my entire time at Clemson, and though I may wear a new uniform going forward, I will always remain a Clemson Tiger." Lamar earned second-team All-ACC honors this season from both the ACC and Pro Football Focus. Lamar was among Clemson's leaders in tackles this season, totaling 80, with 5.5 for loss. He has had draft projections in the first two days of the NFL draft as a top-10-rated inside linebacker prospect. Thank you Clemson nation! #nextstep pic.twitter.com/GD8LNOALsK
