Tre, the best of luck in the NFL.
Personally, I think you need one more complete year. In the past two seasons, the 1st season we didn't see you, you did not have a complete season, possibly due to injuries and unspoken situation by Dabo.
I think players are rushing off too soon for the pro's. Some sure, DW, etc., but most too soon.
Very proud of the players that stick around and play it through, MH, etc.
Needs to be more disclosure of all the players leaving early and not cutting it. Stupid decisions are not glamorous and not covered on the front page.

Selfishly, I want him back, but I understand allure of leaving. Top 10 linebacker doesn’t sound like a day 1 or even day 2 pick, but perhaps he’s hoping to get a jump start on the first contract so he can more quickly earn mega bucks with the second.

Hate to see you leave but thanks for coming to Tigertown. Read several posts where it sounded like he didn’t graduate. Hopefully he’ll rethink that and I hope he busts it loose on the next level. I did read a couple years ago that the average span in the nfl was 3.3 years and of course lower as your draft status goes down.
Sure you got your Renfrows and Bradys etc but few and far between. Need a plan B if it doesn’t work out and you need to be frugal with your money until you’ve made it.
Not sure what it is today, but a couple years back the average pension from the nfl was roughly 25k and you can’t collect it until you’re 55. Think you’re not vested until 4 years. FYI. I saw a couple posts reference this.
All that being said, we have a wonderful detailed oriented coach who loves his players and we also have Jeff Davis that I rest assured have given these young men plenty more info than i listed.

That we'll lose from this team. High character guy like Wilkins that will go on to rep our university well regardless if he does much in the NFL.

The draft rules should change and only allow players who have graduated with a degree and a decent GPA to forego a senior year. They should make sure these kids have something to fall back on. Not every drafted player becomes a star. Some get injured, some get cut, and these guys should be able to fall back on a degree to find work to support themselves after the glory. Anyone else feel that?

The current system works best. Not everything that may make sense on a personal level should be mandated. Sure, it would help a large percentage of players to have gotten their degree and such, but they're adults who should have that choice.
