Clemson is no longer No. 1 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
For the first time since last year's national championship game, Alabama is back at No. 1 with 29 first-place votes. Clemson actually has more first-place votes (30) but obviously has some lower rankings overall (1,562 points for Alabama; 1,526 for Clemson). Georgia is next up with one first-place vote, followed by Oklahoma and Ohio State. Clemson had 62 of the 65 first-place votes last week before going to the wire with UNC, escaping with a 21-20 win. Alabama topped Ole Miss 59-31 over the weekend. The Tigers are joined in the top-25 from the ACC by Wake Forest (20) and Virginia (22).
