Hudson To Transfer

by - Correspondent -

Sophomore guard Jimmy Hudson has decided to leave the Clemson men's basketball program following the spring semester. Hudson had been mulling the decision over for a week or so. Hudson leaves the program without any ill will.

Hudson cited that he wanted to further his educational experience, where he can have more on-court opportunities.

Despite a lack of playing time, Hudson always made the most of his opportunities. Hudson was a guy that was enjoyable to watch, because he always gave good effort regardless of the score. Most of Hudson's playing time at Clemson was in situations where the outcome had already been decided. However, Coach Oliver Purnell commended Hudson for his defensive efforts and hustle on multiple occasions in his post game interviews.

This was not an unexpected move, and it should not impact the recruiting efforts of 2005.
