CBS insider report on Clemson resurgence

CBS Sports did a look across the sport at the interesting stories, including Clemson's offensive resurgence. Why is it so much better? Everyone's just better:

"Comparing last year and this year, everything's improved," a college personnel source said. "That's why you're seeing all these (explosive plays). The quarterback play's improved. The offensive line's playing terrific. [Offensive line coach Matt] Luke's done an amazing job. The receivers are elite and there are a couple of them. The run game now is opening up more because of it. The tight ends are playing really good. So I just attribute it to like: Every single group has improved. And when you get improvement across the whole board, especially at quarterback, that's why you're seeing 28 points in the first quarter (against NC State)."

Fact Check:

There is zero evidence that this has ever happened other than Dabo telling Riley to run the ball more versus South Carolina last year

Shout out to Coach Luke and the OL! I look forward to their continued improvement.

I really like the makeup of our WR room. Guys with different body types and skill sets. Gives us a lot of ways to attack a defense.

Tempo too. I honestly believe Cade is a MUCH better QB when the offense is playing with tempo. Quick huddles, quick, snaps, etc. When the tempo slows down Cade's decision-making take a hit. "All tempo ALL the time" should be the offense's mantra.

I really don't think you can overstate the improvement the olines had on the rest of the offense. Not only has the running game re-emerged, but Cade having time to pass and allow the longer developing routes to come open has taken the passing game to a level we haven't seen in many years.
