One can imagine the ignominy associated with being dropped into that bowl slot .
There ya go Coots , chicken sandwiches and Mayo are a match made in Charlotte .

Duke told Swoff what to do in March about hoops. Said they werent playing when he said they would. They deserve a bowl if they have that type of clout.

in not seeing this early and being the first poster. This is TNet gold. Initially, I thought that the Belk Bowl tie in had been changed to Duke (only) on the ACC side. That actually would have been pretty cool from every angle except football. Soooo many cool commercial tie in possibilities. Next, using the term "spread around" for the Dukes Mayo Bowl was epic. Lastly, the thought of the Coots making repeated trips to the Chicken Sammich Bowl (unlikely, I know) would be too sweet to stand. Maybe one of the other ACC teams could change their name to the Fighting White Breads...

I'm a fan of Duke's mayonnaise and always have been. I once lived in Dallas and had a visiting buddy bring me a gallon. When I lived in NYC 20 years ago, I had to buy Duke's online and probably paid $20/quart... but it was worth it.
Mayonnaise is one of those things that some people like and some people don't. And I get that. But if you're in the group that appreciates a fine condiment like mayonnaise, Duke's is at the top of the ladder. I hope they get a ton of attention and can grow their market.
Honorable mention to Blue Plate, which is fine, but a distant second to Duke's.

I hope that the Clemson Tigers never play in the Duke Mayo Bowl. I wouldn’t be able to digest that. But I do look forward to one of my favorites playing often. Go Buckeyes ——

The new owners of the Duke brand are suing Duke Sandwich Spreads in Greenville because they say their logo looks too much like theirs. It is funny, but both were started by the same person Eugenia Duke around 1916 and she later sold the sandwich spreads and mayonnaise to different companies. They coexisted for 80 years and now the Mayo owner thinks that people will confuse the two. Of course, the truth is they have always confused the two for 80 years, so what has happened now that it is such a big deal?

As usual, North Carolina gets things wrong. Duke's was not founded in the Carolina's but in Greenville, SC and then sold to CF Sauer Co. of Richmond. Either way Duke's is the only mayo worth eating.

Mayonnaise is primarily a White Peoples food and was invented by the French and the French were well known exploiters of Slavery till like 1794. The history of Mayonnaise must be forgotten and any connection to it, severed.
