With full time staff in place

Who’s up for GA or volunteer positions? Not sure what the rules are anymore for these.
Sounds like Bakich is going to work on turning the batters into hitters, Schnabel is with infielders & Belanger obviously has pitchers. Hopefully they split up the outfielders & baserunners as they need a new approach.

Paulsen is back in the player development role. He can work with them in the cage, but not on the field.
Wouldn't surprise me if Mike Freeman came back in some role. He appears to be done with pro ball. Mike would be a great addition, in any capacity.
Other question is what Jack's role will be. Problem there may be NCAA rules regarding number of coaches.

I’m so thankful this worked out, the great team stayed together in & now at a school everything is possible with southern Recruiting areas!
Let’s win the National Championship/World Series!

We knew he was the guy from day one

And we’ve had a pitching coach in place for a week.
Sounds like there were some pretty tough salary and contract negotiations for it to take this long for the official announcement.
But I’m all for paying the guy. I have never understood breaking out the checkbook to get the guy you want as head coach, then be stingy when it comes to the staff. That’s setting the head coach up for failure. If you gonna pay a head coach let him hire the people he wants and pay them well.

More likely was waiting to see if he had a shot at the head job at Michigan.

Possibly but

In his press conference Bakich said the guy was coming with him and from what I have seen on Michigan message boards and YouTube channels etc. they’re not looking for an assistant to replace Bakich. They want another successful head coach because they feel like they’re the kind of program that shouldn’t be hiring an assistant.
Of course anything is possible, but I think it probably has more to do with like you said the background check and other issues. And I think one of those other issues has probably been the negotiations. I would lean more that way than him waiting for Michigan. But that’s just my opinion.

I don’t think the pitching coach has been officially announced

This is normal course of action I believe - takes time for background, board approvals etc. before they can officially announce. The pitching coach is probably behind this one in the queue. Hopefully Jarrett is not looking to talk him into staying and we get something official(note- I didn’t see anything official on tigernet with a university release - just the baseball America report- but maybe I missed something)
