smells like a strategy by us to me. Why would we leak that information 4.5 hrs before kick-off...just doesn't make sense to me.
I say we win either way.

I agree, because it's not just a catchy phase, we are indeed too deep....I think #2 & #90 both play....What do you think, but it's like you said, we win either way.

Lol I could be wrong but I believe Mack enjoys blowing smoke up Marty Smith's ####. He texted Smith the day before NSD in 2013 and told him he was signing with Florida, and well, we see how that turned out. Expect Mack to be a full go tonight. Go Tigers!!!

No way that can be true because Mac committed at the under armour all American game in early January. He didn't commit on NSD.

OK, I'm an idiot. I could have sworn he committed during that all star game. I know in watched a big time player commit at that game, but can't find out who. I must be going crazy.

I got a feeling Mack is setting the hook

He wants Bama to throw at him tonight. I just don't think somebody as competitive as him would let people know he's got a problem with his hamstring.

He pulled it late in the Oklahoma game on the far sideline -- I recall when he came out. If you've ever pulled a hamstring muscle, you know that only time and rest can really heal it completely -- even with great treatment. And it's easy to re-pull it until it is 100%.
I was on the Clemson Soccer Team many years ago and pulled my hamstring a time or two, so I'm familiar with what he's dealing with.
No worries though .. the young guys -- Adrian Baker and Ryan Carter -- have been playing really well recently and Mark Fields can spell them if needed.
The key will be to get enough pressure on the quarterback to mitigate the risk of not having Mackenzie on the field if he can't go.
GO TIGERS!!!

Thought the same myself

Was very impressed with #31 in the OB. That PI call was pretty weak.
Alabama can't throw anything at us in the passing game that FSU couldn't and Baker made a huge stop against them.
So, similar to Shaq, I'm comfortable with the next man up.

Sure, but hire many "next men up" can we survive with when we're talking about Shaq, Mack, Mike Williams, Cain?

The 'easy' answer is n+1 ... as many as it takes!! Next man up indeed!
Our players have been brought along well and go against great receivers in practice. They also have been given more and more opportunities in meaningful minutes as the season has progressed, so they're battle tested.
I guarantee they won't be shell shocked and will give a good accounting of themselves. As long as they give their BEST, that's all we can ask.
I BELIEVE their BEST will be enough!

Why would Alexander text Marty Smith with that kind of information. Sounds weird. I thought Dabo didn't allow that kind of social media.

Question: To throw this out there as a half-truth(technically he did injure it) for strategy, is that dirty coaching? Does it go on all the time? Would Dabo even do this?

and against OK. It would be up to Adrian Baker or maybe Mark fields. 2 players that have very little experience going up against a great WR. That will be a matchup bama will try to exploit a lot. Will probably have to move one of the safeties to that side to help over the top and that takes away from run support for stopping Henry. We have dodged the bullet all season with being effected by lack of quality depth especially at corner but our luck might have ran out. Let us hope and pray that he will be able to go and be effective for the whole game tonight. We are going to need everything he's got.

Mac is irreplaceable on our defense and is by far the last guy on the defensive side of the ball we want to lose especially in this particular match up. Our other corners are going to be very good players but they're young and not quite there yet. I still feel pretty good about the game but that would be an enormous blow if he isn't able to go at all or even if he's able to go but is hindered by the injury.
