But no way this committee asks those questions without having corroborating witnesses. Everything they've done has been methodical, they're not going to risk things on a single witness describing something they don't really care about. As good a story as this was, they don't care about grabbing a steering wheel or assaulting a USSS agent. This was like the eighth most important part about today's hearing.

For realz.
They're being incredibly methodical and careful...and they know perfectly well a major misstep, and it's their credibility. Trumpworld's always been extremely good at taking a single missed apostrophe and making it the whole story...hey, there's this typo here, so the whole phone book is wrong.
They wouldn't have gone on this without multiple corroborating accounts.
The deafening silence on the rest is...kind of awe-inspiring. Not a peep from anywhere. Well, except for Eric Hirschman, who's apparently quibbling with Hutchinson over who actually wrote a memo. She says it was her who put pen to paper, while taking dictation from him, he says he wrote it himself. But the handwriting does appear to be hers, so....
Considering the level of detail on about several hundred of her other statements, that's still a pretty durn minor quibble.

This all reminds me of the ridiculous whistleblower and Ukraine.
A hearsay whistleblower came forward and said that trump withheld aid to Ukraine in return for investigations into sketchy hunter Biden. The old quid pro quo.
Trump released the tapes and there was no quid pro quo. Zelensky even admitted that he had no clue that the aid was even withheld. In other words, there was never a quid pro quo. He did ask for investigations, but they were obviously warranted. The crackhead was already under investigation by the fbi for his foreign business dealings.
The impeachment crew then pivoted that a whitehouse visit was the quid pro quo and that wasn't true either.

I watched all of her testimony last night.
She seems pretty credible to me. If (and I think that's a big if) the secret service came out an refuted her claim about Trump trying to grab the wheel...what about all of the other things she testified to seeing and hearing?
It was pretty damning.

Agreed, but it was my understanding of hearing it directly from her yesterday that it was Engle, not the driver, that was grabbed and he in fact was in the room and did not refute what the Dep. Chief of Staff said about the incident. Additional testimony may clear this up. All she did was relay the story that was told to her at the time. Does not have any impact on the rest of her story, unless one is in the Trump cult and will only ever believe what comes directly from the ##### mouth.

That's correct. The driver's presence in the room is a form of admission, however, insofar as he could have corrected the story but didn't.
There's a related lawyer trick: Make a statement to your adversary that you believe is true, and give them the opportunity to dispute it. If they don't dispute it when given the opportunity, it may be taken as a tacit admission.
