That was a devastating loss in 2OTs. I was in a hotel bar in Memphis, making a crew change the next day on the Mississippi.

There’s a chance, but my guess is he would have to be drafted much more highly than he’s anticipating or has been advised that he will be or he likely wouldn’t have publicly committed. Just my opinion.

There are reasons to commit while knowing your going to sign a MLB contract. He'll be at the combine next week. Doubt he steps foot on Campus again until he's done with pro ball.

Might be a negotiating tactic to squeeze out more money, teams don’t want to waste picks and might spend a little more to get him in the minors. Might improve his stock a little as a high upside under slot pick so teams can conserve more pool money for other picks.

Definitely from the defensive standpoint , but he will actually be able to hose players going for an extra base and his slugging % is much better. Cam had the "it" factor which we will miss in clutch situations.

WOOOO! I was really hoping for this one based on the Clemson family connections, but based on the discourse I was hearing, I thought it would be a bit of a stretch. That's MASSIVE they were actually able to pull it off, let's freaking go! Just a great ball player all across the board. I'm really glad the staff didn't let up on getting position players from the portal; we badly needed a new crop of hitting depth and athleticism. Things are looking a lot better now position player-wise, and hopefully those Loyola guys are still on the way as well to top it off. I hope they can get at least a couple more pitchers, too. I know what everyone's gonna be talking about now is if he'll go in the draft or not.
