NCST and UNC both were ranked higher going into the tourney and hosting. Guess they didnt want to justify 3 host sites within the research triangle.
As far as conf count ACC has 5 hosts, so does the SEC. PAC12 and BIG12 had 2 each, the UCSB and ECU are sole hosts from their conferences.

Very good year for the ACC; got as many hosts as the SEC. Those 2 conferences dominated the list as expected. 5 SEC teams, 5 ACC teams, 2 BIG-12 teams, 2 PAC-12 teams, and 2 mid-majors.
Glad to see the updated projections seem to be more aligned on Clemson's seed after how erratic the previous ones were. Looks like the Tigers should be in good shape to get in the top 8. Also glad to see the coots are no longer projected by either site to be in Clemson's regional. Both projections are now showing MUCH more favorable matchups than they were previously. Hopefully that will be a good sign for what actually happens. It would be great if the Tigers could finally avoid getting an SEC team, especially the coots, as their 2-seed. Fingers crossed.
