Honestly... No WAY saban, meyer or the other top tier coaches respond the way Dabo did to this situation. No WAY. It's the right thing to do, assuming the family medical stuff is valid, but you wouldn't see many coaches treat it this way. So as fans, our right response, IMHO, is to say, thank you, CDS, for showing what true class is, for showing that when you promote family, you mean it, and for showing that you truly value the man over the program. While my initial response is "screw SC", my reasoned response is "wow, CDS, you did something this man would've had trouble doing"... so thank you Dabo for putting your faith and your espoused values where your mouth is.

This is why the players love Dabo

My prayers are with Josh and his family at this time. I hope the entire Clemson family will see the love in this move, especially if he ends up at South Carolina. This type of move is why Dabo is loved by his players and why so many great young men want to play for him.

Delk Situation...

Lord knows I do not know all the facts, nor will anyone else, but I am going to be pretty put-off that this story was fed to us as a "family health issue with his momma" if he transfers to Tennessee or someplace FARTHER from Lewisville. I doubt this is as much a feel-good story as we are being led to believe. Trust me, I don't really care...play for us, don't play for us...but don't be making up a story using this kids mother when it was really about the kid and the program. I trust Dabo explicitly, he's cutting the cord and moving on, and no, these things usually do not hurt the stronger of the two entities, Clemson University Football being the stronger of the two. I'll be surprised if he ends up at Carolina.

That's the only way dabo would grant an unconditional release. Health issues played into belk's plan. There's no way he can play football and attend to family health issues at any school he attends.
