Some of the best days of my life were keeping my then 3yo granddaughter for about a year while in-between jobs. She is 26 now and on occasion will bring up something we did during "our time". Cherish every moment!!!

Congratulations. Being a Grandfather is the greatest. I have three. You can spoil them then give them back to the parents.
Being grandparents are the way at getting back at your kids. Haha
