I might be more adaptable to Middlebrooks returning than Godfrey. Can’t imagine him returning with the his Dad being a Dawg.

I knock him because he quit on Clemson. we were better without him this year anyway. he had a spot and and left. I'm sure someone new will give him a shot.

Truth, already quit on a team once, now quitting on a second school. Probably was told by uga that they weren't paying and he is now looking for a new income source. 🤣

How many people on TNET have left a job for a better opportunity or one that paid better? When you left did everyone call you a quitter? That’s what is happening here. Kids are getting better money or better opportunity to play. His dad didn’t make derogatory comments on Twitter…he just said his son wanted to start.
And you all realize that any of the portal signees are all “quitters” by your definition. Some have been on multiple teams by the time they get to Clemson.
The inability to accept the changes in college sports is astonishing with some of you. The fact is this isn’t going anywhere and I’d guess it’ll get worse.

His dad did make some dirogatory remarks about asking Coach Brownell that he wants to be a starter when he transfered.

I dont think he really wanted to leave. I would welcome him back as a depth piece but dont he is looking for that. Its prob best he goes to a VCU, UAB or a place similar so he can play like he wants too.

Ehh...I wouldn't call that "derogatory." Would that have been better left unsaid? Probably yes. But he didn't make a rude comment about anybody; all he did was bluntly lay out the reason RJ transferred.

We're also down to a single returning upper classman in Dillon Hunter. Having an extra teammate with time in and familiarity of the program with the current staff seems like it could help.

I hated he left, but he was pretty straight forward as to why he did. If he realizes the grass is not always greener and CBB wants him I am fine with it. He can be a beast inside & we need that right now.

If Weird Al Yankovic still makes songs he should parody "Back in the Saddle Again" as "Back in the Portal Again". Three schools seems to be the norm. The guy at SC that we have interest in will be at his 4th school. Chauncy Gibson has gone from Clemson to Tulsa to UT-Arlington to Prairie View A&M and is in the portal again to go to his 5th school. It's so ridiculous now

Stats at Georgia pretty much same

No major difference in stats at Georgia. Still with 15-19 min per game, 7 point average both spots, 3 rebounds. No major difference after another year and another team. Is there not better out there than this production?
