The No. 16 national seed Clemson softball Tigers (48-9) take on SEC at-large Auburn (42-18) in the Clemson NCAA Regional final starting at noon. The game is on ESPN2 this afternoon.
Clemson is 2-0 on the weekend and needs just one win to secure a second-straight Super Regional berth in only the ACC Tigers' third full season for the program. Auburn has to win twice to advance after losing to Clemson, 7-0, on Saturday.
The winner likely heads to No. 1 Oklahoma next week, as the Sooners just have to win once over Cal on Sunday to advance after a 22-0 scoring run over the first two days of the tournament.
We'll have some updates here.

Nerves becoming an issue with this team. Saw it against FSU and it's still there. If the hits are easy they get tight. They have started looking for walks. That is a recipe for elimination in regional type play. NO FEAR! Go take what you want.

Google is telling me that once per inning a special pinch runner can be used and that each player can be subbed out for a pinch runner once per game. That correct?
