Member when Saban was opposed to the spread offense ??

He adapted and maintained excellence ...

Time for Dabo to embrace the transfer portal and bring some midwest OL to Tiger Town to fill some gaps ... literally.

I'm not sure I see it as a talent gap for OL. Mitchell Mayes for example, depending on the the service was rated as the 2, 3, or 4th best OT in the class yet he's not a starter. We had Carmen, a can't miss 5* talent and while good, didn't seem to progress as he should. You are correct, it's the toughest position to recruit... Another reason why Saban brings in full classes. So not sure if it's a talent issue or a development issue.

Either way, you just can't bank on every player being great. Injuries, busts, etc happen. So yes, I agree, bringing in a transfer or two to be a bridge when things happen shouldn't destroy our culture.

As good as Tate is and Dietrick, we shouldn't be in the position of having to start a true freshman... Especially when it's a top 5 team.
