I never posted it, but my daughter is a freshman at Clemson and she performed the National Anthem at a Clemson basketball game in early January. Once I sent her the video, she submitted it to the Charlotte Hornets in an effort to perform it at one of their games. Within 24 hours they had contacted her with a date they had open and she committed to go there and sing. This was in late January. Well, although she is attending Clemson she still has it in the back of her mind, that while she is attending Clemson to be a teacher, she still wants to make it using her voice one day- if possible. I am including the YouTube link to her Charlotte Hornets/New York Knicks performance and asking everyone if they would just give it a watch and a thumbs up if you like it. This is not about making money with YouTube as she has less than 200 subscribers. I’m a dad, so I may be biased, but I think she is pretty seen good. Lol.

First, you are a good dad. Second, she has a great voice with great range. Third, you might want to hear this but she is very, very attractive. #3 goes a long way in getting her into a position for the right people to hear #2.

Here's where it gets hard. The right people need to hear her. National Anthem's are great but they don't sell records. The music industry is about making money...first and foremost. Think Shania Twain.

My family was in Radio for years and I can offer a little insight. Go to the #1 station in Charlotte, Columbia, Atlanta...where ever. Record companies routinely send Reps to popular stations in order to push they're product to be played as much as possible. A decent Radio personalty, Program Director or Manager would be able to put you in contact with a Record Label rep. They don't care because there's nothing in it for them...but. If she show's up, looking as she does...sweet smile...they might be persuaded to contact them.

Another option. Have her cut a demo. I would suggest, whether country or pop...she put 5 songs on a decent tape and try to push that. Tell her she needs to select songs that make her sound unique.
If she merely performs as a "run of the mill, somebody's daughter with a good voice" hang it up.

Whatever genre she likes have her pick songs that she can do and TO MAKE THEM HER OWN. It doesn't help if she sounds like Shania Twain 'cause there already is a Shania Twain...understand?

Finally. She's pretty, built (sorry) and has a great voice. But there are a lot of those out there. Record companies are about making money. Tell her to make a good demo. I mean a demo that shows she's different from the last pretty faced singer and she'll have a 1 in 10 chance of getting someone's attention.
