And them clowns actually think they're gunna beat us this year. And their reasoning is because we haven't won in Atlanta in awhile. IMO I think were past losses like that. What do you guys think?

us anymore. And, frankly, their defense has been absolutely atrocious for a couple seasons now. Do you really think the front 7 we are going to field will have a problem with the option this year?
Nope.

Yeah I was completely surprised they were so confident. One would think they would just pray for a decent game instead they think they can beat us. Ridiculous

Their poor recruiting is really effecting the depth of the team, also I believe our coaches and players are used to the offensive scheme of tech and the defense will keep them under 20 points.
We win this game by 10 plus.

meltdown, this game should not even be a problem. I think Venables showed last yr what ha can do to PJ. Bees are going to struggle against everyone this yr, and it going to be awesome to watch.

Yep, I think pretty much everyone's figured out Johnson's offense now. I think he's on his way out.

They lost their best offensive weapon that did anything against us, their best OL, DL, etc.
Grady Jarett and them boys are going to hurt someone.

I think we beat the coots, but will not beat Noles

The Noles just flat out beat us, have loads of talent, and its on the road. So I really dont think we have a chance.
The coots, as SOS even admitted, have only won mostly due to our own self destruction. I believe with our defense and being at home, if we just eliminate these errors and as Chad says says end every drive in a kick even if a punt, then we win. Plus I think the coots just got into Boyd's head in general. It will also be interesting to see how coots react to the losses from last yrs team.

been in our heads over the past several seasons. Too much pressing, and you saw it with all the turnovers in last year's game. It's like we are trying so hard to not lose instead of just calming down and making some plays.
In terms of FSU, I submit that they should be favored, but I don't agree that we have no chance. What happened last season was a slaughter, but it was due 50/50 to their talent and our mistakes. We made some boneheaded decisions early in that game, and it all snowballed from there. Look, they are loaded, and it will be extremely hard to beat them, but I think our defense is good enough to keep us in it until the end.

And w an efficient up-tempo spread offense to go along w it. We can beat anybody.
FSU is our toughest game but saying we don't have a chance... We have a shot to win ANY and every game this year.

I think it's easy to think Cole will struggle and that we won't be as explosive, but that's a weak opinion, and I don't buy it. Chad's an offensive genius, and these players for the most part have been hand picked for his system. There's plenty of reason to think we could come out blowing the doors off teams. I hope they are sleeping on us. Could be a rude awakening.

cause as we have seen, we have the ability to hang with the big boys, but its just going to be very tough. I agree that a lot of the slaughter last yr was a snowball effect. I think the defining moment was after FSU jumped ahead big, we scored the TD and had a couple of stops giving us a chance to cut the game back to a one possession game. If we had done this I think we would have seen one heck of a game cause we were starting to get some rhythm and move the ball, but instead we had a big turnover that led back to a 3 score game and it fell to bits after that.

I'm in 100% agreement with you Mr.Bell. the only way that we never stand a chance in a game is that we don't suit up. Anytime we play we stand a great chance of winning no matter the opponent.

They haven't had much success at all, so there's nothing for them to chest beat about. And they know that and are OK with it.
GT was at least a traditional power team, even if it isn't now. They've had enough success to be windbags from time to time.

State fans have always ranked among the worst fans in the conference. Now that Maryland has departed for the BIG, State is the top dog when it comes to poor fan behavior.

Well if history means anything... which a lot of us think
Aug 18, 2014, 11:10 AM
|
|
it does... then they have a reason to think that.
I disagree, but I can see why they might believe that.
They have knocked us off our pedestal several times.
2000 we were 8-0, 2004 coming off of 2003 confidence, 2007 4-0 and ranked high, 2009-twice, 2011 we were 8-0
We are 6-14-1 against them in Atlanta since 1970
It's been over ten years since we beat them in Atlanta.
So... I still think we kill them this year... but it's not crazy to think otherwise.
